What Eduspress holds, and who can see it
Eduspress holds the educational records of children. Everything below is how the product is built, not an aspiration for it.
Your school decides
A school puts its own curriculum, its staff, its pupils and its families into Eduspress, and it decides who holds which role. Eduspress does not sell any of it, does not use it to advertise, and does not use a child’s work to train anything.
Permission is decided on the server
Having a role grants an action; a relationship grants the record. A teacher reaches the classes they teach, a family reaches their own children and nobody else’s, and a child reaches their own work. That decision is made on the server on every request, not by hiding a button in the browser.
Children’s work is not left lying about
- A photograph, a video or a piece of work is authorised each time it is asked for, and no shared cache is ever allowed to keep a copy.
- No page in Eduspress is offered to search engines: every page is marked not to be indexed, followed or cached.
- The typeface is served from Eduspress’s own servers, so a child’s browser does not announce itself to a font network to read a page.
- Eduspress runs in Singapore.
Starting a trial
A 30-day trial takes an email address and a name for the school. It does not ask for payment details. A school that stops there is a school that has given us an email address.
Schools ask for a data processing agreement, and they should. Write to greg@eduspress.com and you will get one, together with an answer about where your school’s own records are held and for how long.
